GoUnion, don't be that naive. The reason that they are listening to you is to get you into a JC. It's just a matterof time before you will be DF'ed. Try just to keep your mouth shut when socializing with elders.

Advice, TTATT or Bible
by Crazyguy ini really starting to see the problems with the bible and it being influenced by other cultures, religions and also the fact that many of the books or letter were written after the fact or so called prophecy.
so i am wondering would it work better to try to wake my children to ttatt about the jw cult or work on destroying the bible and its credibility?
which do you think would work better??

"I personally started to doubt the topic of universal sovereignty, and also whether God answered prayers. Yet did not question the Governing Body. It took a range of information to finally get throug"
An interesting observation. You had doubts about God, but not ov the GB. I think this is not unusual among JWs. Therefor I repeat that it's better to question tnh bible or God, than attacking the organisation. Questioning the GB is the most "apostate" thing one can do, and it will only provoke the cognitive dissonance.

the bible and its prophecies
by Crazyguy ini have been doing a lot of research on the bible and its roots so to speak and its becoming clearer that the jews like other races took gods and stories from others and made them their own.
its also become clear that many of the books were written later then stated, like daniel probably written about a hundred years before christ and some of it maybe even after.
but what i don't get is the prophecies.

"After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air."
"We".....so Paul expected to sail away on the clouds in his lifetime...the most prolofic writer in the NT did that mistake! How on earth can a sensible person believe on word of that nonsence.........
.....meeting dead people in the clouds...that's even more........you know what!

How one XJW found a REAL life- Meet Trishy Dishy, Sydney's Party Queen
by fulltimestudent infrom house to house preaching a dead message, to a life of continual partying.. http://www.smh.com.au/tv/movies/trishy-dishy-5000061.html.
about this episodeseven years ago, trish may have banged on your front door with a bible and an innocent smile - then life changed.
struggling with her faith, she abandoned the jehovah's witnesses after a breast cancer op and made a huge, life changing decision to embrace the fast lane and transform herself into australia's reigning party queen.

Good thing to scare the S''T out of that monk. :-)
Anyhow, maybe some of us are prone to seek the profound. I myself know that I have had that problem. But, nevertheless I am sure that most of us wuold be much more happier if we just skip such things. As long as we can afford it , sex and drugs and rock'n roll is the best therapy in life.
As XJWs I think we better stay away from anything spiritual. But, OK maybe that tantra thing can be good.

I would propose the other way. For a true JW it harder to accept TTATT than criticism of the bible. To be critical of the organisation is considered very apostateand activates a lot of alarm bells.

There was something in it for them. But what?
They pplied in autumn 1991, shortly after the collapse of the Soviet union. I don't think that's just coicidence.

What was the most rebellious thing you did while you were a devout jw?
by DuvanMuvan ini was just thinking about how humans being imperfect and satan's influence was the root of everything bad that anyone has ever done.
well i know that apparently everyone is vulnerable which got me thinking about what "bad" things people have done while they were a jw.
i'll start it off.

OK, it's not possible to see this video clip in my country.
But yes, she is in to something important, probably she has understood it way better that we have. Since there is no God, the most important things in life is party....you know, sex and drugs and rock and roll.
I myself have had difficulties to adapting to that lifestyle, but I am in fact improving.... :-)
But yes, partying is hell more important than philosophy and keeping up to date with watchtower dogma.

Will the GB be alive at armageddon(tm)?
by punkofnice inok. i don't believe that the watchtower(r) armageddon(tm) is anything but fantasy.. i do recall speculation about how the 'anointed(tm)' might all be dead before the big 'a' or that some will survive through it and help the r&f.
i heard brothers speculating that after the big 'a' the 'anointed(tm)' would be spirited away to heaven.. i wonder what they think will happen to the gb on, before or after the big 'a' now?.

This is a speculation, but is it possible that after publishing this the society will put some non-annointed into higher positions in the org? I don't think we will see non annointedin the GB, but in powerful positions closely related to the GB. Some that are selected to guide the organisation during the big A.
